The year was 2008. The start of the new year, my second year, when I was doing my Bachelors in Mass Media. Onset of new acadamic years always some how excited me. New books, new things to learn and another fresh chance to prove yourself. Though, through the year my excitement turned into frustration and then indifference, the beginnings always felt like opportunities to me. Thus, that year I decided to make my own notes journal and design its cover page.
When the book was finally binded with papers, the task at hand was to get the idea behind the cover page. Then I thought as this is my cover it should definately show my core philosophy of Life.
'What goes around comes around; Life always comes full circle'
Thus, the base was full of converging circles to show my volatile thoughts.
My love for colours was evident to show in it. I truly believe in simplicity so the colours I chose were shades of blue, red and yellow.
Having colourful circles still did not thirst my quench. I thought there has to be something special between all this thought circles of mine. Then after some thinking I came across these 7 things or rather philosophies which were like goals in my Life.
1. Love Flight: Love is the most important thing in life. God made that evident when all he gave us was some company from the start and left the rest of the world for us to figure. Whether it is true love, true friends or true relations, all I want is to have it all around me and make that flight special.
2. Happy Always: Only when you are the soundest in mind can you conquer the world. I just want to smile whenever I wake up or go to sleep. So, I plan to do whatever that makes me happy despite the fact of what someone else thinks.
3. Shining Star: Whatever you do, do it the best. But also do it your way and give it a special touch. Great works are not so because they are so moving, they are so because they have their creator's reflection. Let your work shine for you and you will become a star.
4. Peace Up: Some chaos is very nice. That is because the peace that comes after it is amazing. Life is full of potholes just so that we can enjoy the smooth ride after it and get ready for future potholes. Finding peace is upto you and you will find it in the unlikeliest of places.
5. Pretty as the butterfly: Butterfly are one of the most exotic creatures. So, having a life as exotic and unique is good. Mind this, by butterfly I dont mean fragile or girl-like. It can be the way you want it to be but make life exotic.
6. Making massive Money: Everybody knows the law 'Survival of the fittest' and for survival all you need is good mind and body. What gives an edge to it is some Money. Dollar also sounds like 'do-ladh' in hindi which means 'two-fight'. Money is the object of desire for all and can cause so much pain. It aint the most important thing in life but it sure does help you keep the important things intact.
7. Super Strong: In the end, Life is war. Making sure you have the energy for it is necessary. Will of Steel and mind of Titanium is something that have to be developed. Being a superman is hard but once you get the hang of it is a cake walk.
These seven circles or goals were defined by me and brought on to the cover. Not only did I get a satisfaction of making a good cover, I also somehow crystalised what I wanted from Life. After three years I was very happy to find this because I understood how this cover page will always be with me. Everything I thought of while making this will always be true for me.
And why did I write this post? I thought maybe how this cover page helped me realised how things work for me, it can help someone else figure out their's. So, if there is any thing that you liked or hated tell me... maybe we can find a new angle or rather circle to life altogether!
I may not know too much but I can surely think much more coz I can experience Life and Laugh as It is!
